// “Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.”
William Arthur Ward
One of the practices I have begun, though not consistently enough, is to keep a thankful journal. A pretty little notebook where I fill each line on each page with something I am thankful for. Gratitude seems to center my heart. This practice has been life-giving, and something I have enjoyed continuing (without the notebook) with my children, most nights before they fall asleep.
This past week I gave thanks for:
extra nuggets in each boys’ Chic-fil-A meal
flowers from my husband
a husband who washes dishes
dirty boys that have played hard
Happy Monday, friends!
