The years go by fast enough with my own children, but it is especially wild to have them whiz past with these newborn babies I’ve had the privilege to document. Carter was an especially easy newborn, that I met for the first time in his mama’s belly, and then, face-to-face on the Fourth of July. Next week, he’ll be one, but he’s racing forward at lighting speed – already an excellent walker and climber, quick to make friends, and a throwing arm that might wind him up as a little league pitcher in a few years.
These lifestyle milestone sessions are quickly becoming my favorite. And Carter’s smash-cake was about the best I’ve ever seen.
